The Marital Basic Trust CRT is a Co-Grantor Charitable Remainder Trust (CRT) designed for a married couple. It offers all of the same features and benefits available with the Single Person Basic CRT (#13).

It also provides a lifetime payout of trust income to the grantors (or other persons) during their joint lifetimes and to the survivor of them. After the surviving grantor’s decease, the remaining principal would be distributed outright to the charity(s) designated in the trust.
